Do you know an unsung local hero who shows kindness, community service, and civic pride? Nominations are now open for the new Mayor of Rushmoor’s Award.

If you know someone who goes above and beyond to help their community, or a group that makes a positive difference to local people, let us know by nominating them for the Mayor’s Award. Your nomination helps us to celebrate their achievements and inspire others.

Nominations are accepted all year round, with successful award nominees invited to attend a meeting of the full council to receive their award.

This is one of several commitments I’d made ahead of my Mayoral year to help recognise the extraordinary contributions of local people. I’m delighted to be able to launch the selection process this week, with many staff from across the Council having already volunteered their time in the coming weeks to help pick the first recipients ahead of our next council meeting in July.
